GUIDELINES FOR RE-SCHEDULING OF GAMES

Per AYSO's national governing documents, a player can play on one team ONLY and must be listed on the roster for ONLY that one team. The official roster for a team is the latest roster submitted by the team's region to the Area Director for that season's competition.

Rescheduling of games is not allowed except under certain conditions. The following are an example of conditions that may warrant a game reschedule: rainouts, field closures, extremely poor air quality and/or acts of nature that prevent the game being played in a safe manner.

In cases such as these, coaches involved shall work with their Regions to endeavor to reach consensus on an alternate time, date and venue, as well as ensuring referee support. The rescheduled game needs to take place during the time frames related to either the seeding round, (2/19/11 - 3/27/11), or medal round, (4/9 - 5/15/11), whichever is applicable and may not result in a double-header for either team on the day the game is played. Information as to the reschedule should be provided (ASAP) by the hosting region Spring Coordinator, to the Area Scheduler at admin@ayso11L.org and the website based schedule will be updated. If the game cannot be rescheduled, it will be posted as a game not played.

Conditions that do NOT warrant a game reschedule include the following: failure of one team to provide enough players, school activities, vacations, and/or any other situation that causes one team to feel that they will not be able to provide a competitive game.

If one team is unable to play, the game is considered to be forfeit and the opponent team is to list the game as a 1-0 win in their favor.
