Coaching Requirements
As of July 31 my child's age is: (AYSO season is August 1 - July 31)	Training Required**
4 years old = U5 (not all regions have a U5 program)	AYSO Safe Haven Certification & AYSO U6 Coach Training
4 or 5 years old = U6	AYSO Safe Haven Certification & AYSO U6 Coach Training
6 or 7 years old = U8	AYSO Safe Haven Certification & AYSO U8 Coach Training
8 or 9 years old = U10	AYSO Safe Haven Certification & AYSO U10 Coach Training
10 or 11 years old = U12	AYSO Safe Haven Certification & AYSO U12 Coach Training
12 or 13 years old = U14	AYSO Safe Haven Certification & AYSO Intermediate Coach Training (requires U12 as a pre-requisite)
14 or 15 years old = U16	AYSO Safe Haven Certification & AYSO Advanced Coach Training (requires Intermediate as a pre-requisite)
16, 17, or 18 years old = U19	AYSO Safe Haven Certification & AYSO Advanced Coach Training (requires Intermediate as a pre-requisite)
** ONLY AYSO training and certification qualifies a coach for an AYSO team. Stricter training requirements may be imposed at the regional level or by program guidelines. Please contact your Regional Coach Administrator for information that is specific to your region.
